This afternoon we have a lovely hair tutorial hosted by our friend Heather Chapman Share with us! Perfect for those of you looking for a timeless, romantic look for your hair. 🙂
Start by choosing a timeless, decorative headband. This is one of Cute handmade.
1. Section the hair diagonally across the head from the left temple to the right nape. Split the sections, cut the right section and secure the left section at the bottom of the right nape.
2. Take the hair on the right that you cut out of the way and use a 1-inch curling wand (or curling iron) curl all of the hair toward the face. Allow hair to cool for 10 minutes while it is in a curled state.
3. After the hair has cooled, comb through all the hair using a paddle brush. Waves will start to appear. It’s okay if it’s just a subtle wave. Position the wave the way you want to see it frame the face and secure with clips. Then hairspray. Let sit for two minutes.
4. Take the clips out of the waves. Gather the entire section you have gently curled, part the section as well, and twist it towards the face. Once twisted, carefully begin pulling pieces of the twist to “lift” the twist. This adds amazing texture!!
At this point, you will be wearing the headband (see above). Still holding on to your weave hair, take the smallest piece of hair at the bottom of the hair, holding it with your other hand, push the rest of the hair towards the head. Pin as you wish. Take the left section (which you are placing in a low pony) and repeat the twisting, pulling and pushing. Pin as well.
Very beautiful, isn’t it?! Thanks again for Heather Chapman For this beautiful hair tutorial and K. Marie Photography For pictures.
