After the wedding, it’s time for the honeymoon! Whether you’re planning a relaxing beach vacation or traveling to Europe for sightseeing, you’ll want to look super cute, right? Well, today I’m sharing with you a super easy (and cute!) day-to-evening look for your honeymoon. Thank you so much to one of my favorite beauty gals, Nyrie at The beauty of symmetry To share her expert tips. I’ve worked with Nyrie on quite a few projects (Spanish wedding fashion and a southern style wedding shoot to name a few) and she is absolutely amazing at what she does. Neri worked with Gemayel Alaa To capture all the steps for these DIYs. I hope it’s helpful and I’d love to hear if you’d like to see more of it!
Step 1 On clean skin after applying sunscreen, apply tinted moisturizer all over the body using your fingers or a sponge. I used Jouer Gold Luminous Hydrating Dye.
Step 2 Use a brush or finger to conceal under your eyes and conceal any blemishes that aren’t completely covered by the tinted moisturizer. I used Goer Perfector in No. 3
Step 3 Brush and fill in brows as needed with a pencil, which I used Jouer Blonde Eyebrow Definer.
Step 4 Apply bronzer with a large brush, use a light hand and apply it to the upper part of the forehead and cheeks, anywhere the sun would naturally tan you. I used Nars Laguna
Step 5 Apply pink or peach blush to the apples of the cheeks. I used Nars orgasm
Step 6 Use light camel or beige eyeshadow on the lower eyelid up to the crease, but no further. I love the cream shade for this look because I love the way it melts into the skin and is quick and easy to use. I used Laura Mercier Rum Satin.
Step 7 Use a skin-toned eyeliner pencil on the inner part of your lower lash line, also known as the waterline. This will refresh and brighten your eyes instantly. Make sure your pencil is slightly lighter than your skin tone for a more natural look. I used Play clarifying eye
Step 8 Curl lashes if necessary and then apply your favorite waterproof mascara.
Step 9 Apply lip gloss in a transparent, bright color. I used MAC Lip Conditioner SPF in Petting Pink
Next, let’s do the hair!
Step 1 Start with clean, air-dried or blow-dried hair, which may be slightly dry or damp. Comb or brush through any tangles.
Step 2 Part the hair slightly to one side using your fingers or the back of a comb.
Step 3 Spray sea salt spray generously on hair. I used Akwaj sea salt spray
Step 4 Pull the hair to the other side of your part and gather it into a low, loose pony, securing with a clear elastic hair band.
Step 5 Braid hair loosely.
Step 6 Secure the bottom of the braid with a clear elastic band.
Step 7 Gently pull the braid to loosen it. And you’re ready for some sightseeing with your new hubs!
Now, let’s take your daytime look and turn it into an easy and gorgeous nighttime look. Perfect for a romantic dinner!
*Remember if you are just starting out with the evening look, you will also need to do steps 2, 3, 4, 5 and 8 of the day look.
Step 1 Refresh your skin with a light mist of water.
Step 2 Apply liquid foundation using a slightly damp sponge. I used Make Up For Ever HD Foundation In No. 40
Step 3 Use a blendable cream eyeliner pencil in a dark color on your upper lash line. The line needs to be a bit thick and it doesn’t need to be a perfect line because we’re going to blend it out. I used Bobby Brown’s duel ended with the lining in the plane
Step 4 Use a dark pencil inside your lower lash line or waterline. I used Bobbi Brown Dueling Liner in Chocolate
Step 5 + 6 Use a dark, creamy smudge stick all over the top lid until it creases in a patting motion. Then use a clean eyeshadow brush to blend the shadow and also blend the liner from step 3 to create a smoky effect. I used Laura Mercier Caviar Eye Color Stick in Cocoa
Step 7 Apply a neutral shade of lipstick or lip gloss. I used Laura Mercier Lip Gloss in Nude Blush
Step 8 Use a lightweight mineral powder on your T-zone or anywhere you might feel shine. I used Jouer Mineral Face Powder in Natural Pearl
Step 9 Lightly apply highlighter cream to the cheekbones. I used Play with highlighter in champagne
*If necessary, adjust blush and bronzer from daytime steps 3 and 4
Now let’s work on the hair!
Step 1 Remove both elastic bands and take out the braid.
Step 2 Loosen hair with fingers. Your hair could be perfect just like this and you could be ready to go! If you want more curls, continue to step 3.
Step 3 Pin the top half of your hair on top of your head to keep it out of the way.
Step 4 Take a one-inch section of hair and wrap it around a one-inch curling iron leaving the ends of the hair outside the clip. You can also use a curling wand without a clip. Repeat this step until the bottom half of the hair is curled.
Step 5 Place the top section of hair and repeat step 4 until you finish the hair.
Shake hair out and spray with a light hairspray or shine spray if necessary. Cool, isn’t it? happy honeymoon!
